HIFU
What Is HIFU?
HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. It uses similar ultrasound waves that hospital ultrasound scanners use (such as those used during pregnancy). However, instead of spreading them over a wide area to capture an image of the tissues underneath, it instead focuses them into one small area to create a zone of heat and inflammation.
How Does It Reduce Wrinkles And Body Fat?
When the Intense, focused ultrasound reaches the tissue, it creates points of inflammation. Collagen fibres start to shrink whilst body fat begins to be metabolized and removed. The process of new skin rebuilding follows.
How It Works (Visual Model)
The Ageing Process
As we advance in the years, the skin starts to develop visible signs of aging. Wrinkles appear more prominent and the skin starts to become lax and flabby.
Non-invasive Ultrasound
Focused ultrasound targets the skin. Collagen fibres begin to shrink. Skin begins its rejuvenation.
New collagen formation
When the Intense, focused ultrasound reaches the tissue, it creates points of inflammation. Collagen fibres start to shrink whilst body fat begins to be metabolized and removed. The process of new skin rebuilding follows.
