What Are Lifting Threads?

PDO Threads using Lidocaine is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure aimed at lifting and tightening the skin. During the treatment, biodegradable PDO (Polydioxanone) threads are inserted into the skin to create a supportive structure, promoting collagen production and skin tightening. Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, is often used to minimize discomfort during the procedure. The threads dissolve over time, leaving behind a firmer and more youthful appearance. Pre and post-care instructions are provided to optimise results and minimise side effects, ensuring a safe and effective treatment experience.

What Are the benefits?

  • Lift and tighten sagging skin
  • Stimulate collagen production
  • Improve skin texture and elasticity

  • Provide a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance

How to prep for treatment:

This treatment is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure designed to lift and tighten sagging skin while stimulating collagen production, promising a rejuvenated appearance. With immediate tightening effects and long-term skin improvement, PDO Threads offer a convenient non-surgical solution for enhancing both face and body structure.

This treatment has minimal downtime due to its nonsurgical nature. However, it is best to give it one to two days of recovery or the downtime we recommend individually for you.

It mostly depends on the nature of your job and the environment you work in. You can return to work within one day to one week after the treatment. The time varies from job to job. If you have a strenuous job or one that requires plenty of activity and movement, for instance, personal training or nursing, then you might need more time before returning to work.

It is recommended to avoid touching, wetting and washing your face for a minimum of 12 hours after the treatment. Even after that, it is best not to scrub or massage the treated area for around three weeks post-treatment.

Gentle skincare practises, like usual washing, drying and moisturising, can be resumed after 48 hours of the procedure. Avoid exfoliation and scrubbing for three weeks.

You can apply makeup after 48 hours.

Light exercises can be resumed after a week but don’t perform any exercises that may strain the treated area. You should consult our Clinic before you resume weight lifting or other heavy exercises. Yoga or other meditation exercises that requires bowing your head below the heart must be avoided for at least a week.

You must avoid wetting the affected area for at least 12 hours after the treatment. In the case of swimming, it is best to allow the suture area to heal completely. The same goes for saunas and hot tubs.
